Naomi Mellor
Naomi Mellor is is the founder of The Skylark Collective and the International Women’s Podcast Awards, and a passionate advocate of raising the voices of women and non-binary folk in podcasting. She's a multi-faceted and multi-talented podcaster, presenter, entrepreneur and community builder, and to some people's surprise, is also a veterinary surgeon. Like many indie podcasters, Naomi started her first show, Smashing The Ceiling, with no prior experience and no technical training. After falling in love with the medium of podcasting, she has gone on to host and produce multiple podcasts and digital media projects, working with companies including Wondery, Shure, Nestlé and Closer Still Media. In 2021, Naomi combined her passions for podcasting and promoting the interests of women and non-binary folk worldwide to found The Skylark Collective and the International Women’s Podcast Awards. The Skylark Collective is a global network of women in podcasting, that aims to support and unite women and non-binary podcasters through connection, collaboration and celebration. The International Women's Podcast Awards is the first event anywhere in the world to specifically recognise and reward the talent of women and non-binary folk in podcasting and after a successful launch in 2021, is back in September 2022 at The Conduit, London.
